Booking Methods
If you show interest in a stay at Kamerlingh Villa, you will receive a quote from us for the desired period. This quote is valid for 5 days after receipt and is based on the information provided and availability.
When you accept the received quotation, we have a binding agreement, and the room is reserved for you. You will receive a confirmation and an invoice for your stay with us.
Booking Conditions
All bookings shall be paid in full, at the moment of reservation, unless agreed expressly on the contrary
Cancellation Policy
All reservations shall be understood to be non refundable, unless the refundable rate is chosen at check-out page, before finalizing the reservation, in which case that policy, es described there, shall be applied.
As plans can change, we recommend taking out comprehensive travel cancellation insurance (Pandemic proof) and staying informed of any travel restrictions that may apply to your trip to Aruba.
Kamerlingh Villa is not liable for any damages that may be claimed under travel and/or cancellation insurance or any other insurance policy.
Due Date
If you fail to pay the invoice by the due date or fail to meet other obligations under this agreement, the owner reserves the right to demand fulfillment and/or compensation. If the breach of contract is significant, the landlord may terminate the agreement without court intervention.
Liability
Kamerlingh Villa accepts no liability for theft, loss, damage, or injury to property or persons during or as a result of a stay at the villa. Liability for damages related to loss of travel enjoyment or business or other consequential damages is excluded in all cases.
Children under 18 years old may only use the pool and/or gym under adult supervision.
If you lose the remote control for the gate provided upon arrival, a charge of €100 will apply. For lost keys to your room or the safe, a charge of €75 will apply.
Defects
In case of any defect during your stay (e.g., power or water failure, equipment malfunction, WiFi issues, or leakage), this is considered force majeure and does not entitle you to a refund. Please report the issue as soon as possible to the owner or the manager, who will take steps to resolve the issue.
Damage
If you break or damage something during your stay, please report it. We will agree on a reasonable compensation amount that you will need to pay.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is after 3 p.m. on the day of arrival, and check-out is by 11 a.m. on the day of departure. Any other arrangements must be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
Smoking and Candles
Kamerlingh Villa is a non-smoking property; smoking is not allowed indoors, and candles are not permitted inside. If smoking or candle burning is detected indoors, a €100 cleaning fee will be charged.
Smoking is allowed on the terrace, at the cabana, and in the garden, as long as it does not inconvenience other guests, and cigarette butts are disposed of in the provided ashtrays.
Burning candles is allowed on the terrace.
Water and Electricity
Water and electricity are costly on Aruba. Room prices include normal usage, and we ask you to conserve these resources. When leaving the studio, please turn off the lights, fan, and air conditioning.
Air conditioning usage is not included in the room price. The number of kWh used will be calculated and deducted from your deposit at the end of your stay, with any remaining balance returned to you.
Guests
Use of the accommodation and swimming pool is exclusively for guests staying at Kamerlingh Villa. For fire safety and legal regulations regarding occupancy limits, we need to know who is present at the villa.
If someone visits you for a coffee or short visit, it is free of charge, but for those using the gym, pool, or other facilities, a daily rate of €15 per person applies, with a maximum of 2 guests per studio. Overnight stays are only allowed if another studio is available and upon payment of the applicable rate.
Pets
Pets are not allowed.
Disputes
All disputes arising from this agreement are governed exclusively by Aruban law.
All administrative, legal, and/or extrajudicial costs incurred by the landlord due to the guest's non-compliance with the rental agreement are the responsibility of the guest.
